A little bit of chit chat
Applications for the Polkadot Developer Conference subø are open. The event will be held in Lisbon on November 28-29th. The conference will have general talks and two spaces: one for beginners just joining the space and another designed for builders.
Acala resumed regular operations after the community voted to continue all aspects of the chain. Users can now operate on the Acala's platform as before the incident.
A new parachain has been born (again)
Kilt Protocol has successfully migrated its parachain from Kusama to Polkadot, marking the first time such a transition happens in the ecosystem.
In a post published on Polkadot's official blog, it was stated that the reason behind the migration was "spurred by large-scale enterprises starting to implement business cases on KILT", which requested a high level of security and stability.
The migration was made thanks to XCM, which allowed Kilt to generate the final block on Kusama and the initial one on the Polkadot chain. Also, Kilt could keep all their data unchanged thanks to the Solo-to-parachain pallet developed by Parity Technologies.
A matter of decentralisation
Polkawatch released its dashboard focused on the decentralisation of Kusama, the first report from them since the community decided last June to roll it out in Polkadot's canary network.
Currently, validators are dispersed across 39 countries, 12 more than in Polkadot. Also, Kusama, due to its higher validator set, has 482 public operators versus the 181 present on Polkadot. However, regarding delegators, Kusama is running behind with only 7,518 compared to 23,482 users that have received rewards on Polkadot.
Even though Kusama has more validators, the rewards are centralised on the top two (Zug Capital and P2P); meanwhile, on Polkadot, although there are six predominant validators, rewards are more spread.
